DAY1

Welcome from the staff and bike tour presentation.
Dinner based on local product and excellent wine from the Valtellina in a typical mountain restaurant.

DAY2

Gavia Pass.

Bormio- Gavia Pass 2621m -Mortirolo Pass- Bormio 108km, 3180 m difference in altitude.

Starting from Bormio the first step of our tour will be the Gavia Pass. One of the highest mountain passes in Europe and one of the epic climbs of the Giro d'Italia.

Starting from Bormio we head towards Santa Caterina on a wide road with an average gradient of 5.4% and a maximum of 15%. After the effort of the climb, once you reach the top and wearing the protective clothing provided by our minibus, we carefully face the descent to enter the province of Brescia, in Ponte di Legno, a famous ski resort, in the splendid Valle Camonica. This area became the first UNESCO World Heritage Site in Italy in 1979.

Going down to the valley we reach Monno, here begins a new extraordinary climb: the Mortirolo Pass, after passing the Gavia Pass, will be a great challenge.

Our first day ends here, we load our road bikes on the minibus and return to Bormio to enjoy an evening in good company, with excellent local food and wine.

DAY 3

BERNINA PASS.

Tirano - Bernina Pass 2328 m - Forcola Pass 2315 m-Livigno- Foscagno Pass 2291-Bormio 101 km, altitude difference of 2878 m

After breakfast, transfer to Tirano to reach Lake Poschiavo. The climb is quite demanding. A big difference in altitude, with an average gradient of 5.5% and a maximum of 12% ... but the breathtaking landscapes and the fabulous scenery of the Bernina glaciers will give us the strength to conquer the Passo with our road bikes .

It is a Swiss pass that connects Valtellina and the Upper Engadine.

After this spectacular passage

the last effort takes us to the Passo del Foscagno where the descent to Bormio begins.

As a reward we can expect an abundant and excellent dinner, as always based on Valtellina products: pizzoccheri and polenta washed down with local wines.

DAY 4

REST DAY.

LAKE COMO- MADONNA DEL GHISALLO 85km- 600m difference in altitude.

Just like professional cyclists during big races, our cycling team also needs a relaxing day to recover energy. After our breakfast, with the bikes on the minibus, we head towards Valtellina. Today's race is completely flat. Enjoying the beauty of Lake Como, we will arrive in Varenna and then we will reach Bellagio by boat.

In Bellagio our climb begins towards the famous Madonna del Ghisallo, the patron of the cyclist.

Then we return to Bellagio where the ferry awaits us for our transfer to Menaggio, where we will end the day.

DAY 5

MORTIROLO PASS.

Bunch of Valtellina-Mortirolo Pass (1850m) - Aprica-Tirano- Bormio 101Km - 2050m in altitude

The climb par excellence is that on the Valtellinese side, which extends for 12.5 km, with a drop of almost 1300 meters and a steep but constant slope (average of 10%; maximum 18%). These characteristics make it one of the most popular but also most difficult climbs in Europe.

Mortirolo is "the passage of all passages", where the most difficult, most important and exciting battles of the Giro d'Italia are fought. We too will have the opportunity to try this climb, always with the minibus for support if necessary. We return through a different path, through Trivigno, to reach the Passo Aprica. Well deserved after so many efforts, a dinner, as always based on the best local products, awaits us.

Day 6

STELVIO PASS.

Stelvio Pass 2758m - Umbrail Pass 2501m -105 km, 3100m difference in altitude.

Epic climbs, from Bormio to the Stelvio Pass: average gradient of 7% with peaks of 15%. It is the highest Italian pass open to motor vehicles and connects Valtellina with Val Venosta in the province of Bolzano. After taking the warm clothes from our minibus, we head downhill to visit the Trentino area, from Prato dello Stelvio to Glorenza, a few kilometers from the Swiss border.

another epic climb is waiting for us: Umbrail Pass.

our day will end with the arrival in bormio for our dinner.

Day 7
